South Indian superstar turned politician Chiranjeevi’s daughter Srija is back in the headlines with reports of complaints that the 21 year old has lodged against her husband Sirish Bharadwaj. She turned heads when she eloped to Delhi with Sirish after a secret marriage in 2007. Srija was all over the news channels then asking for security against her father.

Srija recently lodged a complaint under section 498-A (subjecting a married woman to cruelty) of IPC in a Hyderabad police station against her husband who was allegedly harassing her physically and mentally for money. She said that Sirish had already taken money worth crores and gold jewellery from her earlier for various business engagements. Recently he had been getting drunk and abusing her asking for more than a crore to start his new real estate business. Srija says that her in-laws have been a part of this.

Sirish was Srija’s senior in school and the couple married secretly after four years of courtship. The duo took the help of some Congress men to seek shelter in Delhi after their filmy alliance. Srija has not been in good terms with her parents since then and is now said to be living at a close friend’s house with her two and a half year old daughter.
