RGV made ‘Rakta Charitra’ based on a real story of Paritala Ravi and Maddelachervu Suri faction rivalry. The film is a trilingual made in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. The movie got mixed response at box office. It fared better in Tollywood but got lukewarm response in Hindi and Tamil.

But few ardent fans tried to make a spoof on ‘Rakta Charitra’ titled ‘Chai Charitra’.Interestingly the makers got kudos from none other than RGV himself.

RGV tweeted “Watch Rakta Charitra spoof 'Chai Charitra' . I genuinely think its better than my film & I have become a fan of the maker. .ROFL”
